Private Lessons or Portfolio Review:

I am available for private instruction or portfolio review. I have experience teaching all ages from in high school age to seniors.

Take your drawing or painting to the next level by learning:

• Light and colour theory.
• The principles of observation and measuring.
• Seeing in terms of shape.
• The process of painting using the “block in” method then refining with details.
• Why palette set-up is so important to right thinking when painting.
• The rules of composition on a two-dimensional surface and why it’s so important in making a lasting work of art.
• How to make your own canvases.
• Examples from art history will be discussed as well as critiques of your own projects.

Cost:

• $75/hr for a one time review.
• $60/hr for regularly scheduled lessons (typically 1 to 1.5 hours per session).
• Driving distance is a factor and will be added to total cost.
